Welcome to Team Love!

As your Project Manager, I have put together a plan to get our members started and organized online.

Since we all already know and love Google, we are going to try and integrate as much as we can into this workplace:

Google Meet will be our teams means of communication. It is easily accessible within our email, there’s tonnes of storage space, and it’s one click away from all our other work.

Document sharing is easy in Google Workspace, as well as Google Docs and most all the apps within Google – We can all work together in real time, there’s lots of storage on the cloud and there are so many collaborative tools. We can chat and leave comments for each other if there are any questions, as we are working together.

There’s also version control within Google Workspace where we can go into the history and restore to previous versions.  All changes in documents can be seen in the version history.

We will be using the Adobe Creative Cloud as it is an industry standard for the Digital Design department. So for our prototyping needs, we will be using Adobe XD from the suite. Not technically an SaaS, but saved versions can be saved and accessed on the cloud by the team.  Adobe XD is an exceptional tool for Prototyping and is a click away from all the other Adobe programs we use everyday, like Illustrator and Photoshop.

Time Tracking – Because we are a relatively small team with only 8 beautiful people, we will do our time tracking with Google Sheets. As we grow, we will consider making things easier and more efficient for you and me by integrating with Wrike.

Project Management – Again, starting up, Google has what I need to manage projects within Google Workspace, but we may move to Wrike to organize our time and projects, as it integrates easily with Google for scheduling, task management, Google Calendar, Google Drive and more.

Because our front and back and coders will be working simultaneously and remotely, we are going to use Codeanywhere as our cloud IDE. In this handy and multifunctional environment we will be able to code test effectively

Digital Marketing Analytics – more Google love, my team. Google Analytics is already at our fingertips. It has the insights we need for all our business websites and apps.

We are going to add value to our google analytics with Moz SEO Software. They can audit our sites, advise us on backlinks, and keywords. We also have access to Google Trends, the SEO Checker Tool and Google Search Console.

Apparently Google workspace has page speed insights built in, but to be extra sure, we can use Pingdom. They will test and provide graphics to show where the page is performing well or getting backed up.

See you in the Google Meets and Chats!

Your Project Manager,

Leslie Love.
