Well, now I am going to shamelessly self-promote to this huge captive audience I have here. Last year, I set out to build an empire in order to sell my art online. I created my very own e-commerce website. With the encouragement of Serena, my teacher in the DEEP program offered through NIC, I built a website attached to my bank account! I considered Shopify, which my husband uses for his site, and also WordPress as I have an ancient and untouched portfolio site with them. Instead I chose Wix, an SaaS platform for building my site, which I will speak to later. In theory, my e-commerce site makes me money by selling a product or service. This is occasionally true. Perhaps I should have enrolled in business and marketing classes instead.
